Obtaining A Work Visa To Teach In Korea

In order to obtain a working visa to teach in Korea, you must meet several requirements and follow a very strict set of guidlines as set forth by Korean Immigration. Most Common Visa Types

1. E2 working Visa - This type of visa is what most candidates will work towards getting. The E2 visa allows a foreigner to legally work as an English teacher for 1 year.

2. F4 working Visa - This type of visa is reserved for first or second generation Koreans (Gyopo) who also hold citizenship from a western country. This visa will allow for further benefits to that of an E2 visa holder. The F4 Visa will allow a Gyopo teacher to legally work in Korea as an English teacher
 

Requirements To Obtain an E2 Visa

  1. Must be a citizen of one of the following nations (Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa)
  2. Must have a valid passport from one of the above mentioned nations
  3. Must have a bachelors degree, or greater from one of the above mentioned nations
  4. Must offer a criminal background check (The procedures are country specific, ask your recruiter for more details)
